Send me something to read and I’ll give you my ten-pence (cents, nickels, shekels) in the form of a two-page report. It will have a chunky paragraph of analysis along with a collection of carefully considered bullet points. I may even throw in a casual doodle or a link to a song that your writing put in my head. You also get to discover whether my communication style is comfortable for you, the way I work fits yours, my feedback is too verbose or brief (get ready for some verbosity) and that I turn up and deliver on time (I do!)

There are no word count limits* so choose anything from a scene or a few chapters that you’re particularly proud of or a part of your book that has posed problems or has been tricky to work on.

* As much as I fiercely commit to ‘no word counts’ if you send me more than a few chapters for a sample edit, I will get in touch so you can choose what sections you’d like me to read or discuss a Manuscript Evaluation.

The report will provide high-level insights and feedback on your:

• Strengths and weaknesses
• Parts I loved and parts that jarred
• Primary questions that arose
• Guidance for progressing your novel
